According to reports, my country's industry has formed a unique advantage of a complete system, a wide variety of products and a large scale. my country has 41 major industrial categories, 207 medium categories and 666 small categories, covering all industrial categories in the United Nations industrial classification; it has all kinds of manufacturing industries, and among the 500 major industrial products, my country ranks first in the world in the output of more than 220 products. In 2023, my country's total industrial added value will reach 39.9 trillion yuan, accounting for 31.7% of GDP, and the added value of manufacturing will account for 26.2% of GDP, accounting for about 30% of the world.
In 2023, high-tech manufacturing will account for 15.7% of the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size, and equipment manufacturing will account for 33.6%. The digital transformation of the manufacturing industry continues to advance, with the penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools in key industrial enterprises reaching 80.1% and the CNC rate of key processes reaching 62.9%. Artificial intelligence is deeply empowering new industrialization and cultivating 421 national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories. Green manufacturing is accelerating. In the first two years of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the energy consumption per unit of added value of industrial enterprises above designated size has decreased by 6.8%. From 2021 to 2023, the water consumption per 10,000 yuan of industrial added value decreased by 20.3%. In 2023, the comprehensive utilization of bulk industrial solid waste will be about 2.2 billion tons, and the utilization rate will reach 54%.
In terms of industrial technological innovation, 30 national manufacturing innovation centers have been built, covering power batteries, humanoid robots, high-performance medical devices and other fields, and 23 national independent innovation demonstration zones and 178 national high-tech industrial development zones have been established.
